Top Ten

My Top Things
After looking on various top ten's I thought that I would plaster mine all over this blog! Not interested huh?, Well! Just have a look you might agree with some things. I am going to do some standard top ten's and then a slightly different top-ten that I will justify for you!.
TOP 10 Movies (that I highly recommend)
10. Ghost in the Shell (1995) A must see for any Anime fanatics who think they know what a good Manga movie is. This was also a top influence for Modern Sci-fi. (if you get a chance watch Akira too) Akira isn't quite as deep but very artistic.
09. Jacob's Ladder (1990) Has to be one of the most screwed up psychological thrillers, I would almost go as saying it falls into the realms of The Shining with it's eerie-ness. If you like Horror then you need to see this, creepy stuff.
08. Hard Boiled (1992) Get the beers out, order in some pizza and watch this bad boy. Hard Boiled is the definitive Gun-fu epic, there is nothing more action fueled than Chow-Yun Fat wielding dual Beretta's blowing the crap outta some dude.
07. Twelve Monkeys (1995) Terry Gilliam has had a few flops before, but he is a master of the bizarre and this film is the epic time travel movie that is packed with lots of head scratching content.
06. Goodfellas (1990) I love this movie, when I feel like letting my hair down I watch this. When you aren't serious enough for Godfather this is much more of a thrill ride. There are so many gems in this, and I don't just mean the actors.
05. Step Brothers (2008) The partnership between Will Ferrell and John C Reilly is priceless, the humour is so slapstick that you wonder how they can keep a straight face, a must see for the Anchorman generation.
04. Carlito's way (1993) "You Big time?, well you're gonna Fukcing Die Big time!" one of the coolest lines. I think its cliche to pick Scarface and I personally think Al Pacino is so much cooler in this, with a character I can actually relate to.
03. Darren Aronofsky's PI (1998) Admittedly the whole mathematics of this is slightly flawed but I do love the vibe of this movie and feel I can relate to the isolation felt by Max and his hardships in achieving greater things.
02. American History X (1998) Don't waste your time with the corporate machine that is Fight Club, and instead spend your money on this timeless classic. This film is so Gritty and mean but you have to see it to believe it.
01. The Shawshank Redemption (1994) I know this is embarrassing, everyone says this is the best and maybe that makes it lose its charm but I honestly feel it in the pit of my stomach everytime that old man is watching the fast world whizzing by him and he can't keep up.

09. DJ Shadow
08. Freidrich Chopin
07. Boards of Canada
06. Rush
05. Cranberries, The
04. Jimmy Webb
03. Neil Young

08. David Tennant
07. Sandra Bullock
06. Daniel Craig
05. Michael Cera
04. Robert Pattinson
03. Collin Firth
02. Keira Knightley
01. Elijah Wood
Top 05 most irritating things ever (it's the truth)
05. People who don't enunciate eg: "Everfink has sumfing wrong wiv it", "There were free fings wrong wiv it".
04. People who pronounce the letter H as: hhhhhhhaych instead of aych (which is the correct way)
03. People who say Literally incorrectly: "There was literally two bottles of coke" when they should be using it in this sense: "The cat was literally let out of the bad".
02. Parents that say "Because I Said so". How is that supposed to convince me not to do it, that simply convinces me that you're a dumb sh!t.
01. People who say "oh that's a bit heavy". Anything that slightly works the brain (philosophy, literature, classical music) to call it heavy means that you are incapable of consumption, just ignore it if you're not interested you unbearable pr!cks.
Well there you go, here is another post that nobody will read! Do you agree?, do your own top ten!... let me know, cause I want to see them!
